GBC Children

Our children’s ministry is focused on helping children and families explore who God is and what God has in store for them. The Bible says in Proverbs 22:6 “Train a child in the way he or she should go, and when they are old, they will not turn from it.” We partner with families so that the children learn both at home and at church the values that lead to full-functioning Christian maturity and the fullness of life that Christ gives. All of our Children's Team Volunteers are required to pass a background check.​

Children's Sunday Morning Schedule

Nursery is available for children ages 4 and under during the 9:30 am worship service. 

​

Children's Church is offered for ages 5-5th Grade in the New Life Building following Pastor Curt's Children's Sermon in worship. 

​

Children's Sunday School classes are offered at 10:30 am in the children's wing of the New Building:

Older Children (2nd – 5th graders) - led by Phyllis Henley

Younger Children (4 yrs – 1st graders) - led by Susan Angel and Erin Henley

Toddlers (2 & 3 years old) - led by Brett Alvis & Betsy Alvis

Infants - led by Crystal Waldrop

Children's Wednesday Night Schedule (resumes Fall 2024) 

As part of our Wednesday evening activities, children join their families for a home-cooked meal at 6:00 pm in the MPR, followed by Children's Music, Missions, and Movement from 6:30 - 7:00 pm in the children's classrooms.  Parents are invited to participate in Community Table programming while their kids are in class.

Children's Check-in

If you are the guardian of a child you would like to attend our nursery or one of our children's Sunday school classes for the first time, you will need to fill out our New Family Form online or at the check-in desk. You can find the online form on our Visitor Forms page HERE.
